GP victory for Horse of the Year Ermindo-W

8 July 2024

Ermindo-W, previously ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, has added another victory to his impressive record. This Singapore son, sold through the Limburg Foal Auction in 2009, was bred by Kees de Wit from Reuver and was named Horse of the Year at the Limburg Foal Auction in 2021. At the age of 15, he won the Grand Prix of Vichy this past weekend.

Under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Ermindo-W triumphed in the Grand Prixs of Westergellersen and Opglabbeek, as well as in the Nations Cup competition in Calgary. In 2021, they participated in the European Championships in Riesenbeck, and in the autumn of 2022, Ermindo-W was sold to the Larocca family, with Matias Larocca becoming his new rider. Last December, Bryan Balsiger took over the reins, and together they have achieved multiple top-ten finishes. In May this year, they secured a victory in the 1.45m two-phase class at CSI2* St. Tropez, and now, after a second-place finish in the 1.45m Big Tour, they won the Grand Prix of CSI2* Vichy. On September the 25th, the Limburg Foal Auction offers the opportunity to acquire future Grand Prix winners.
