Kutscher and Van Gogh win $250.000 in Hong Kong

During the highlight of the Longines Hong Kong Masters, Marco Kutscher rode a great round with the stallion Van Gogh (Numero Uno x Bernstein), who was sold in 2002 during the Limburg Foal Auction. He was the last starter and went for it! In addition to a medal there was a bonus of $250.000, as the duo had already won the Grand Prix in Los Angeles last year.

There were a total of twelve combinations in the jump-off. The course in the jump-off included a pair of long lines that made it possible to go fast between the jumps. Kutscher used these lines eagerly with the great gallop of Van Gogh and the combination finished in a sharp time of 45.16 seconds. With a time difference of 1.5 seconds, he was faster than Kevin Staut. Kutscher took home the gold medal and the bonus of $250.000.
