Limburg Foal Auction presents a very promising and varied collection

23 August 2019

The 19th edition of the Limburg Foal Auction at Equestrian Center De Peelbergen will take place on Wednesday the 25th of September. Once again, the selection committees succeeded in compiling an interesting collection of more than 100 jumping bred and dressage foals. In addition, the organization promotes the sale of foals from her region with an online foal auction a few days after the regular auction.

Over the years, the Limburg Foal Auction has developed into an established name. The selection on performance genes, correctness and quality has already led to many excellent references, such as top performing horses as Ermindo W (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson), Cas 2 (Harrie Smolders), H&M Extra (Olivier Philippaerts) and Donna Speciale (Leslie Burr-Howard).

Showjumping bred
Last year, with a prize of € 30,000, Nikon’s Diamond (s.Kannan) was the top seller at the Limburg Foal Auction in the Equestrian Center De Peelbergen. Buyers from countries as Ireland, United States, Mexico, Great Britain, Canada and Finland took their shot here. The new collection will be presented in Kronenberg (NL) on Wednesday the 25th of September from 11 am and the auction will start at 2.30 pm. Because the auction is a reflection of the breeding area, the jumping foals are again in the majority this year. They descend from established stallions such as Cornet Obolensky, Berlin, Cardento, Comme Il Faut and Emerald van’t Ruytershof as well as promising sport and breeding stallions such as Cape Coral RBF Z, Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof, Luigi d’Eclipse and Gaspahr. They represent solid damlines suchs as the Van ’t Roosakker-, Especiale-, Molga-, Terma-, Minka-, Sinaa- and Melusiena-lines and several foals are bred out of mares who have performed or are performing in international jumping classes.

Movement talents
The talented foals that are part of this 19th collection show that also the dressage people should save the date for the Limburg Foal Auction. The foals descend from high-profile movement progenitors such as Sandro Hit, Rubin Royal, Glock’s Toto Jr., Sezuan’s Donnerhall and Totilas. For example a full brother of the Grand Prix dressage horse Don Bravour (Geert Jan Raateland) and the KWPN-approved stallion Bon Bravour (s.Painted Black) will be auctioned by auctioneer Koen Olaerts, as well as several half-brothers and sisters of Small Tour dressage horses. The collection of jumping and dressage foals can now be found on www.limburgseveulenveiling.nl.

Online auction
On Monday the 30th of September, buyers will have an extra opportunity to capture another 30 interesting foals between 3 pm and 7 pm. In addition to the regular auction, the Limburg Foal Auction is organizing this online auction and the collection will be announced soon.
